Britney Spears On Nicki Minaj

“I think she’s great,” Spears told MTV. “She’s a great artist in every way and I’m really happy for her. I think she has a distinct sound when she raps — It really stands out and sets her apart from everyone else. I’m happy she’s able to be on tour with me because that’s just amazing.”

Lauryn Hill Defends Rohan Marley

Lauryn Hill has issued a statement attempting clarify the reports that her longtime on-again, off-again lover Rohan Marley abandoned her while she was pregnant. Marley isn’t the father of Hill’s newborn son, but she doesn’t say who is nor does she say whether or not they are currently together.

“Mr. Marley and I have a long and complex history about which MANY inaccuracies have been reported since the beginning,” the statement reads. “To speculate without the facts can only cause people to form WRONG conclusions. We both value privacy and for that reason defend and preserve our right to it. Contrary to the numerous reports, Mr. Marley did not abandon me while pregnant with his child. We have had long periods of separation over the years but our 5 children together remain a joy to both of us. Thank you for your concern and I appreciate all of the well wishes regarding the birth of my new son.”
